Winter Hiking Tips
Enjoy the magical experience of winter hiking!
As the snow begins to cover our trails, we want to remind users to be safe and plan ahead.
  • Check the weather forecast before you venture out.
  • Dress in layers, but avoid cotton which absorbs moister.
  • Ride or hike early in the morning when trails are frozen hard.
  • If you encounter mud, ride or walk through it or turn around. Don’t widen the trail by walking around it.
  • Move slowly and use caution, conditions may be slick and icy.
